People’s Energy Company has won Energy Provider of the Year at the Moneyfacts Consumer Awards 2021. The energy firm positions itself as the people’s energy champion against unfair gas and electricity prices and has achieved the accolade from Moneyfacts on the first time of entering.
Analysts at Moneyfacts reviewed the offerings of a number of energy suppliers before creating a shortlist on which members of the public were invited to vote and ultimately decide upon the winner.
Michelle Monck, Head of Digital, Moneyfacts.co.uk, said “This is the first time People’s Energy Company has been nominated for this award and the feedback from customers has seen them scoop the top spot straight away. This recognises its commitment to putting its customers (which it calls members) first and to making energy affordable for all.
Karin Sode, Co-Founder of People’s Energy, commented: “On behalf of the team here at People's Energy, I would like to say a huge thank you to all our members who voted for us and helped us win this fantastic award. To be voted Energy Provider of the Year is a massive achievement for our team and recognition of all the hard work and commitment they have put in over the past four years.
“As a community interest company, we are committed to helping build a fairer, greener, better world for everyone – to see our values recognised in this way is both encouraging and motivating as we continue to grow and take the company forward.”
