Earlier today National Savings & Investments (NS&I) revealed the lucky winners in their usual monthly premium bond prize draw. As usual two lucky premium bond holders are now £1 million better off – tax free – while hundreds of others have won other runner up prizes ranging from £100,000 to a welcome £1,000.

Two new lucky premium bond millionaires

The first of this month’s new millionaires’ hails from Wales and holds the winning bond number 250SL107433, which was purchased in July 2015 and is valued at £5,000.

The second comes from Southern Scotland and their winning bond number is 093XD777211. This was purchased in March 2003 and again is valued at £5,000.

Many congratulations to both of these lucky winners who each walk away with a £1 million tax free top prize for this month.

More premium bond holders celebrate September with a windfall

Wales has certainly been lucky for some people this month with one of the seven £100,000 prize winners living there. Two more live in Kent, with the remaining four residing in Wandsworth, Gloucestershire, Hereford & Worcester and finally, Wiltshire. Happily, two of these £100,000 winners struck it lucky on bonds worth just £500 and £50 – That’s quite a return on their original investment.

The winning £100,000 premium bond numbers are:

14 other people from across the UK have won £50,000 this month, with one winner being from our own home county of Norfolk. 28 premium bond holders can claim their £25,000 prize and a further 71 can look forward to spending their £10,000 win.

140 people premium bond holders will be celebrating a £5,000 win and an incredible 2,204 premium bond holders are now £1,000 better off – three of whom have premium bonds worth just £1, £2 and £5. This month prizes were won on premium bonds dating from all the way back to the 1950’s – with the oldest winning bond being purchased way back August 1957 for £50.

Would you know if you’d won?

Are you a winner but don’t even know it? NS&I is currently sitting on £63 million worth of unclaimed premium bond prizes. There are potentially tens of thousands of winners who could be better off but have no idea they’ve struck it lucky.

Premium bond holders can keep up to date with the status of their bonds online and even have cash prizes can be paid directly into their bank account. Visit nsandi.com/register to sign up now.

Premium bond holders can also check their numbers quickly and easily using NS&I’s free online Premium Bond Prize Checker, or download the app from the App Store or Google Play. These apps will also check historical draws in case you’ve won previously but didn’t realise it.
