Yorkshire Building Society has scooped two awards at the Moneyfacts Consumer Awards 2021. The building society won both the High Street Mortgage and Savings provider of the year.
Analysts at Moneyfacts reviewed the savings and mortgage products of different financial providers to create a shortlist. These then went forward to a public vote to decide the winners, highly commended and commended brands.

Savings accounts from Yorkshire Building Society

Yorkshire Building Society has committed to giving its savers an extra £20m in interest as part of a new loyalty programme. More than 1.6m members of the society will benefit and the lowest rate savings accounts will increase by up to 0.20%. Tina Hughes, Director of Savings, Yorkshire Building Society said: “It’s no secret savers are having a tough time at the moment with unfavourable market conditions, so we’re really pleased we’re able to demonstrate our building society credentials and give something back to many of our savers at this time.
“As a mutual organisation we’re owned by our members and run completely in their interests, meaning we can reinvest profits to deliver benefits for our members. Giving them higher interest rates is just one example of how we reward the loyalty of our valued savers.”
