We have launched a competition where we are allowing our readers to name our pig and have the chance to win £100 in Amazon vouchers in the process.
The competition, which ends on Thursday 12 December, allows consumers to choose between three names for our pig – Pygg the Pig, Truffles or Perkin.
Pygg the Pig likes to save, and the name pays homage to the first piggy banks as, during the Middle Ages, pygg was a type of clay pot that people would use to save any extra coins they had. Truffles is a food-loving pig that is named after the famous breed of pig known for locating and extracting truffles in woodlands. Perkin is a scientific pig, who enjoys giving financial advice whenever possible.
To be in with a chance of winning the £100, all consumers have to do is to comment on a post on our Facebook page @moneyfacts.co.uk or reply to our tweet on our twitter profile @Moneyfacts_couk with the name they prefer. The competition is open to all UK residents aged over 18. See full terms and conditions.
Those entering the competition can only vote on one social media platform and only one vote is allowed per person. Entries must be made via a social media profile. The winner will be the first entry drawn from all eligible entries and will be informed by Boxing Day.
