The expertise of the Moneyfacts team is regularly in demand, with journalists and media outlets from across the financial services and national spectrum relying on our experts for up-to-the-minute information. Here's a quick overview of just some of the places we've been in the news recently:

  • research on mortgages – which revealed that mortgage rates have halved in the last decade – was picked up in several publications last week, including The Telegraph, Financial Reporter, Mortgage Strategy, What Mortgage and Mortgage Solutions. Our finance expert Darren Cook was quoted extensively: "It would have been difficult to predict 10 years on from the financial crisis that we would ever see mortgage rates at historic lows and product numbers at record highs, with providers now vying to compete for new business across most LTV tiers," he said.
  • The Herald used our data on Junior ISAs to help inform a piece on encouraging the savings habit in children, and similarly, The Times used our more general ISA figures to highlight where to get the best returns.
  • Our regular update on the average two-year fixed mortgage rate was covered in Mortgage Strategy and This is Money.
  • Bespoke work for journalists is at the heart of what our press department does, and this week the expertise of finance experts Rachel Springall and Darren Cook were seen in the likes of The Times, The Telegraph, The Sun and MoneyWeek, to name but a few.
