The latest £1 million premium bond jackpot winners have been revealed this morning, along with millions more scooping prizes ranging from £100,000 to £25.

The first £1 million winner was the Shropshire-based owner of the bond number 116WA622775. This winner holds £30,000 in premium bonds and bought the winning bond back in October 2006. The second winner was a bond holder who lives in Bristol and who won with the number 084FM963618, which was purchased in October 2003. This winner also holds £30,000 in premium bonds.

Commenting on the lucky jackpot winners, Ian Ackerley, chief executive of National Savings & Investments (NS&I), said: “We are absolutely delighted for our winners from Shropshire and Bristol. The length of time since the winning Bonds were purchased debunks a common myth that only the newest Premium Bonds win prizes.

“It goes to show that all Premium Bonds holders are in with a chance at winning the top prize, even if their Bonds were not purchased recently. The length of time that our two winners held their Bonds will make their wins all the more special and shows the lasting appeal of Premium Bonds.”
In addition to the £1 million prize winners, a further five premium bond holders won the second-best prize of £100,000 each. This month also saw 11 winners scoop a price of £50,000, 22 winning £25,000 and 55 receiving £10,000 in prize money. More premium bond holders also won prizes ranging from £5,000 to £25, with over 3 million premium bond numbers scooping prize money in the September draw.
