In the easy access ISA chart this week Cynergy Bank changed the issue number and increased the rate on its easy access ISA, resulting in it paying the top rate in this chart of 0.65% AER. Although there was no change at the top of the fixed rate ISA charts, further down the chart Paragon Bank increased the rate on its one, two, three and five year fixed rate ISAs, resulting in it now paying 0.86% AER, 1.06% AER, 1.16% AER and 1.31% AER respectively on these ISAs.

Below we’ve highlighted the top rates currently available in our comparison charts, but savers should note that these are the best rates available at 2pmon Thursday 14 October 2021 and, although correct at the time of publishing, providers may reduce or withdraw rates at any time. In addition, the rates highlighted are available only to new customers.

Remaining at the top of the fixed rate ISA chart this week is UBL UK, which pays 1.56% gross on maturity on its 5 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA. There are also versions of this ISA that pay 1.51% gross on anniversary, as well as 1.50% gross quarterly or monthly. UBL UK also continued to top the three year fixed rate ISA chart, with its 3 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA paying 1.22% gross on maturity, along with versions that pay 1.21% gross on anniversary and 1.20% gross quarterly or monthly. Both ISAs require a £2,000 minimum deposit to open. They allow transfers in from cash ISAs. The ISAs can be opened online, in branch, by post or via mobile app and then managed online, in branch, by post, by phone and via mobile app.

Castle Trust Bank and Close Brothers Savings both continue to pay the top two year fixed ISA rate this week. Castle Trust Bank pays 1.10% gross on maturity or on anniversary on its Fixed Rate e-Cash ISA, which requires a £1,000 minimum deposit to open. This ISA accepts transfers in from cash ISAs. It can be opened and managed online and via mobile app. Close Brothers Savings pays 1.10% gross on anniversary on its 2 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA. A £10,000 minimum deposit is needed to open this ISA. Transfers in are accepted, but transfer instructions must be received within 10 days of account opening. It must be opened online but can be managed online, by post or by phone.

Topping the one year fixed rate ISA chart this week is Castle Trust Bank, paying 0.90% gross on maturity on its Fixed Rate e-Cash ISA. A £1,000 minimum deposit is needed to open this ISA, which allows transfers in from cash ISAs. It can be opened and managed online and via mobile app.

This week Cynergy Bank increased the rate on its easy access ISA rate, resulting in its Online ISA (Issue 17) topping the chart paying 0.65% gross yearly. The ISA requires a £1 minimum deposit to open and allows further additions. Withdrawals can be made. It accepts transfers in from cash ISAs on account opening only. The ISA must be opened and managed online. Savers should also note that a Cynergy Bank Authenticator App or Digipass is needed to open and manage this ISA.

Both Leeds Building Society and Marcus by Goldman Sachs® paid the next best easy access ISA rate this week. Leeds Building Society pays 0.60% gross on maturity on its Limited Issue Online Access ISA (Issue 38). A £1,000 minimum deposit is needed to open this ISA. It allows further additions while the issue remains open and withdrawals can be made via a nominated account. Transfers in are accepted. It must be opened and managed online. The ISA matures on 30 November 2022, after which it reverts to an Instant Access Cash ISA maturity account.

Marcus by Goldman Sachs® pays 0.60% gross monthly, which includes a 0.10% bonus for 12 months, on its Cash ISA. A deposit is not needed when opening this ISA, but a UK mobile number is required. The ISA allows further additions and withdrawals via a nominated account. Transfers in are not accepted. This ISA can be opened online or via mobile app and then managed online, by phone and via mobile app.

Aldermore topped the notice ISA chart this week paying 0.55% gross on anniversary or monthly on its 30 Day Notice Cash ISA Issue 12. This ISA requires a £1,000 minimum deposit to open and allows further additions. Withdrawals can be made subject to 30 days’ notice or earlier access is permitted subject to 30 days’ loss of interest. This ISA accepts transfers in. It must be opened and managed online.

The next-best notice ISA rate this week comes from Buckinghamshire Building Society, which pays 0.30% gross yearly or monthly on its 30 Day Cash ISA. A £100 minimum deposit is needed to open this ISA, which allows further additions. Withdrawals are permitted subject to 30 days’ notice or earlier access is allowed subject to 30 days’ loss of interest. Transfers in are not accepted. The ISA can be opened and managed in branch or by post.
