Savers looking for a top-paying ISA will be pleased to see that the majority of last week’s chart-topping ISAs have remained available in the charts this week. Overall, UBL UK continues to offer the best rate of 1.40% AER on its five year fixed rate ISA. Meanwhile, in the easy access ISA chart, Cynergy Bank continues to top the chart, despite reducing its rate by 0.05%.
Savers should be aware that the rates below are the best rates available at 4:30pm on Thursday 29 October 2020 and, although correct at the time of publishing, they may not be available after this time.

The top-paying fixed rate ISA this week once again came from UBL UK, which pays 1.44% gross on maturity on its 5 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA. There are also versions of this ISA that pay 1.40% gross on anniversary, and 1.39% gross quarterly or monthly. All options require a £2,000 minimum deposit to open. Transfers in from cash ISAs are accepted. This ISA can be opened in branch or by post and then must be managed by post.
UBL UK also topped the three year fixed ISA chart this week, with its 3 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA paying 1.11% gross on maturity. Savers can also choose a version of this ISA that pays 1.10% gross on anniversary or quarterly, and 1.09% gross monthly. This ISA has the same terms and conditions as the five-year version.
Marsden Building Society topped the two year fixed ISA chart this week with its Fixed Rate Cash ISA (Issue 129) paying 1.00% gross yearly until 31.01.2023. A £5,000 minimum deposit is needed to open this ISA. Transfers in from cash ISAs are accepted but must be received within 30 days of account opening. This ISA can only be opened and managed in branch.
Newcastle Building Society offered the top one year fixed ISA rate this week. One Year Fixed Rate ISA (Issue 37) pays 0.85% gross yearly until 22.12.2021. A £500 minimum deposit is needed to open this ISA. Transfers in are accepted. This ISA must be opened in branch but can then be managed online, in branch, by post and by phone. There is also a version of this ISA that pays interest monthly at the same gross rate.

Further additions and withdrawals are allowed. Transfers in are accepted on account opening only. The ISA must be opened and managed online. A Cynergy Bank Authenticator App or Digipass is required to open and operate the account.
The next-best rate came from Leeds Building Society, which pays 0.80% gross yearly on its Double Access Cash ISA. This ISA requires a £5,000 minimum deposit to open. Further additions are allowed while the issue remains open. Withdrawals are restricted to two per calendar year, then 30 days’ loss of interest on all further withdrawals. Transfers in are accepted. This ISA can be both opened and managed in branch and by post.
Family Building Society had the third-best easy access ISA rate this week, paying 0.72% gross yearly on its Market Tracker Cash ISA (2). To open this ISA, a £500 minimum deposit is needed. Further additions and withdrawals are allowed. The minimum amount that can be withdrawn is £100. Transfers in from cash ISAs are accepted. This ISA can be opened online, in branch, or by post and then managed online, in branch, by post and by phone.

This ISA requires a £100 minimum deposit to open and is only available to teachers and other education professionals. Further additions are allowed. Withdrawals are permitted but subject to 90 days’ notice. External transfers in are accepted. This ISA can be both opened and managed online and by post.
In the up to 60 days’ chart, Kent Reliance had the best rate with its Cash ISA – 60 Day Notice – Issue 23 paying 0.65% gross yearly or monthly. To open this ISA, a £1,000 minimum deposit is needed. Further additions are allowed via cash at a branch, cheque, bank transfer or debit card. Withdrawals are permitted subject to 60 days’ notice and, if notice is not given, earlier access is allowed subject to 60 days’ loss of interest. Savers should be aware that the withdrawal method is dependent on how the account is opened. Transfer in requests must be made within 30 days of account opening. This ISA can be opened online, in branch or by post and then managed online, in branch, by post and by phone.
The top rate in the up to 30 days’ chart came from Aldermore with its 30 Day Notice Cash ISA Issue 10 paying 0.55% gross on anniversary or monthly. This ISA requires a £1,000 minimum deposit to open. Further additions are allowed. Withdrawals are permitted subject to 30 days’ notice and earlier access is allowed if notice is not given but subject to 30 days’ loss of interest. Transfers in are accepted. This ISA can only be opened and managed online.
