Nationwide BS has reduced rates by up to 0.70% across its range of fixed rate mortgages, resulting in its three-year deal becoming a Moneyfacts Best Buy and earning an "outstanding" rating in the process.

The basics…

This mortgage, available at 80% loan-to-value (LTV), is now priced at 1.69% for three years. It'll revert to 3.74% thereafter, resulting in an overall cost for comparison of 3.4% APRC, which sees it take pride of place in the three-year chart. It comes with a fee of £999.

The finer details…

The deal is offered to borrowers with a deposit of 20%. It comes with a generous incentive package of free valuation, while first-time buyers and remortgagors can also benefit from £500 cashback. It also boasts the added flexibility of permitting overpayments and underpayments, provided certain conditions are met.

Why we like it…

The rate reduction to this deal has seen it storm into the charts for its sector, seeing it take pride of place with a highly competitive fixed rate and APRC, while the additional perks and flexibility make it more that deserving of its Best Buy status and the highest possible rating.

Moneyfacts rating: Outstanding
