Milestone Savings has increased its fixed bond rates by up to 0.30%, which has seen the two and three-year bonds sit comfortably in the Best Buy charts for their sectors, while the five-year bond has reached the top of its chart. All earn a high rating as a result.

The basics…

The two-year Fixed Term Deposit now boasts an expected profit rate of 1.56%, paid on its anniversary, while the three-year pays 1.80%, which sees it sit just behind the market-leader for its term, and the five-year now pays a market-leading 2.30% yearly.

The finer details…

The accounts require a minimum investment of £10,000. There are no additions, withdrawals or early access allowed, so savers will have to ensure they are happy with their chosen term. All access must be made through a nominated current account. The bonds have to be opened online, after which they can be managed by post and over the phone as well. They are Sharia'a compliant, which means the rates represent the expected profit rates.

Why we like them…

Their improved rates have easily earned these bonds their spots in the Best Buys, as well as their high rating, especially the five-year account with its market-leading return.

Moneyfacts rating: Excellent
