PCF Bank has increased the rates on its five and seven-year bonds by up to 0.05%, which sees the five-year deal improve its position in the Best Buys while the seven-year account now sits proudly at the top of the charts. They subsequently earn a high rating.

The basics…

The 5 Year Term Deposit Issue 11 now boasts a near market-leading rate of 2.51%, while the 7 Year Term Deposit Issue 5 pays a market-leading 2.60%. Interest will be paid on their anniversary and must be paid away on both accounts.

The finer details…

These accounts require a minimum investment of £1,000. Further additions are permitted for 14 days from account opening, but withdrawals or other early access are not allowed, so savers will have to make sure they are happy to set their funds aside for the entirety of their chosen term. The deals can be opened online or by post, and then also managed over the phone.

Why we like them…

The attractive rates on these bonds have easily earned both a high rating, as well as competitive places in the Best Buy charts, with the seven-year bond especially standing out at the top of the charts.

Moneyfacts rating: Excellent
