More about Admiral

"With its well-known insurance offering, Admiral now provides financial products such as personal loans and car finance.
Admiral began in 1993 as a specialist car insurance company, and by 2017 had branched out into the finance industry. Admiral now offers car, home, travel, pet, van and GAP insurance, as well as personal loans and car finance options (hire purchase and personal contract purchase).

What type of loans does Admiral offer?

Personal Loans
With Admiral, you’ll be able to apply for a personal loan as well as a number of car finance options. Admiral’s personal loans range from £1,000 to £25,000, and you could use them for a car, home improvements, wedding, or even for funding further education.

Car Finance
Admiral offers options for financing a car. As well as taking out an unsecured personal loan for a car, you can opt for personal contract purchase or hire purchase.

To learn more about car finance, read Admiral’s article, which explains everything you need to know before you make a purchase.

Admiral offers car finance that ranges from £4,900 to £35,000 for hire purchase, and between £9,900 to £35,000 for personal contract purchase.

What interest rate will you get with an Admiral loan?
Admiral personal loans have a fixed interest rate, which means the amount you pay each month will stay the same. This can help you budget for your repayments as you’ll always know how much you have to set aside.

Admiral advertises its personal loans with a representative APR. The representative APR is given to at least 51% of successful applicants. This means the actual interest rate you’re offered if your application is successful may be different, depending on a number of factors. These can include the amount you want to borrow, the length of time you want to borrow over, and your own financial circumstances.

How long do Admiral loans last?
Admiral offers loans between 12 and 60 months. You’ll be able to pay some or all of your loan off early if you want to. If you want to pay all of your loan off early you will be charged additional interest.

How can you contact Admiral?
You can contact Admiral by:

Online, through their website or Phone, on 0333 234 6007

How can you apply for an Admiral loan?

• Your personal details, such as your address history over the last three years
• Your financial details, like incomings and expenditures every month
• Your bank account details

How long until the loan is in your bank account?
If your application is successful, the money will go into your bank account between 12-5pm on the third working day after you sign the loan agreement.

Are you eligible for an Admiral loan?

• You’re a permanent resident of England, Wales or Scotland
• You’ve lived in the UK for at least three years and have a UK bank account in your name
• You’re aged between 18 and 74 and will not be 75 or over at the end of the loan term
